Day 1:

Explore the Plaza Mayor:
Once the center of old Madrid, Plaza Mayor has drawn tourists to it’s beauty for years. With a statue of King Phillip in the center, one can spend hours here visiting the shops, cafes and galleries. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a live event! The Plaza has been known to host many attractions throughout the years- from Christmas Markets, to soccer matches and even bullfights! Admire the artworks at Museo Del Prado:
The Prado is filled with overwhelming masterpieces and famous artwork by Renaissance and Baroque masters and must-see works like Garden of Earthly Delights and David with Head of Goliath.
Relax at Retiro Park:
This green heart of Madrid is one of the most beautiful parks. Rent a boat here, do some paddling, explore the Crystal Place and the Queen’s Garden.
Do some shopping and dine like a local:
Head to the famous Chueca or Salamanca barrio for some shopping. They are full of charming outfit outlets and shoes. Stop at one of the restaurants and eat like a local. You won’t find a more traditional meal than here!
