Why should I use a Travel Advisor:

There are tons of reasons why you should use a travel advisor to plan your next trip, but we don’t have time to go into all of those right now. Check out the section on our home page for the top reasons to use a travel advisor. If you don’t have time to go back and read those, know that saving you time, money and stress along with the expertise of someone who knows what they are doing are key reasons you should consider a travel advisor for your next trip. 


Does using a travel advisory cost me more than booking on my own?

Typically the answer that is no. In actuality, it’s quite the contrary. Using a travel advisor more often than not can save you money versus booking on your own. Travel advisors have access to vendors that the general public does not who can bundle your entire vacation package to save you money. Also, travel advisors may have extra perks with certain providers where you can get more out of your trip for no additional cost. 


Do you charge any fees?

Bookings of a more complex nature will have an additional planning fee built into the cost. That planning fee will be nonrefundable and specific to the trip being planned.


Do you offer travel insurance?

Yes, we can provide travel insurance for your vacation through one of our preferred vendors. The specific inclusions and exclusions of the travel insurance policy will be provided to you for your review prior to entering into an insurance contract. Travel insurance is a very personal product, it is a not a one size fits all coverage. Based on your individual trip’s needs, different insurance products will be offered based on suitability.

We offer the utmost care and professionalism when working with our clients. We listen to your needs and requests and put together the ideal vacation package you’re looking for. Our goal is to give you the exact vacation you were looking for in the budget that you want and with the experiences you need. We also can recommend additional things for your vacation that you may enjoy. Our vacation packages are not cookie cutter- we individualize each trip to meet the specific needs of the people who will be traveling. We are industry trained and have contacts with top suppliers, vendors and tour companies around the world. 


What types of trips do you specialize in?

Assisted Travel specializes in European vacations. Most of our clients enjoy small group trips, river cruises, customized trips, culinary and wine inspired trips, Mediterranean cruises and historical focused trips. 


Can you help me with all aspects of my trip?

Yes. At Assisted Travel, we can help you with every detail of your trip- from the airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation, trains, excursions, cruises, insurance, local dining recommendations, and one of a kind experiences. 


How can I get in contact with you?

Clients will have access to me via email, phone, text and messenger. While traveling, we can also communicate over wi-fi channels to avoid international fees. Not a client, yet? Send me an email at deborah@assistedtravel.net and let’s set up a time to fix that. 


What information is needed to reserve my trip?

We will gather information about the travelers going on the trip- name, address, birth date, contact information, passport and Known Traveler information (if applicable). We will also ensure you understand exactly what your trip entails, what is included and what is not. Authorization forms are sent via email and credit card information is collected via an encrypted system. 


What deposit is needed to reserve my trip?

The deposit needed will vary depending on the cost of the trip, the components included and the time frame in which you are traveling. 
How can I make payments for my trip? We accept payments via credit or debit cards. We can also use gift cards in some circumstances. If you do use a gift card, it is imperative you hold onto the gift card until after the trip (even if there is no money left on it). In the event that you have to cancel or a portion is refunded, the refunded amount will go back on the card used. There is no way to have the refund go to a different card or through check and if you have thrown away the gift card, you would not have access to the refund. 


When will my trip have to be paid in full?

Each vendor has different policies with this specific question, but most vacations will need to be paid in full 45-60 days in advance. Cruises typically have to be paid 90-120 days in advance. 


Can I earn points by booking travel through you?

A lot of rewards companies do work with travel advisors, but not all of them. Have a specific rewards company in mind? Send me an email and I will let you know. 


Do you have a referral program?

Yes. We value our clients and consider it a huge compliment when they refer us to their friends and family. Depending on the individual client’s preferences, we offer gifts, discounts off future trips, gift certificates and credits as referral bonuses. 


Will you sell my information?

NO.
