Those of you that know me at all know that I love food…and when I travel I love even more.

Belgium is not only one of the most beautiful countries in the world but also is famous for its regional cuisines that entice tourists from all over the world. Featuring a unique blend of French, Flemish, and Germany cuisines, Belgium foods are amazing enough to satiate your hunger for something unique and delicious.

Here are some Belgium foods that are on another level and are worth trying.

Waterzooi

Waterzooi is a creamy stew featuring a winning combination of Fish, Butter, cream, and eggs. This comfort food is served with beer that makes it more special.

Waffles:

Belgium’s waffles are one of the most extraordinary foods in the world. This local food comes in various shapes and sweetening and is topped with some chocolate, cream, and fruits that add to its flavor. One of the famous ones is Liege waffles served with pearl sugar and some Nutella on top.

Mitraillette:

Mitraillette is a popular traditional dish of Belgium made with some freshly baked baguette loaded with some fries, meat, sauces, and veggies. This classic food can be found in any upscale restaurant.

Fries/ Le Frites:

Belgium is the birthplace of a world-famous snack, potato chips. These chips are made perfectly: they are soft from the inside and crunchier on the outside. They are served in a paper cone and are topped with some mayonnaise sauces.

Moules-Frites:

Moules Frites is another traditional food of Belgium made with fresh mussels cooked in white wine, vegetables, and are dipped in delicious sauces for some unique taste. They are served with fries and some delicious sauces.

Chocolates:

Belgium chocolates, the best in the world. It is a chocolate capital of the world that makes some of the best chocolates you can ever have in your entire life. They are made so finely that they make your taste buds grow crazy with their softness and rich taste.
