Mount Rigi Trail

With an amazing view from the top, this seven-kilometre trail offers an easy route that can be used by children and adults alike. The track is made from gravel and mud, but the path can be trekked without much trouble. Start your hike from the train station line and you will immediately be surrounded by fantastic views. It’ll tough to decide which view is the best during your trek.

Hardergrat Ridge Hike

This hike may be the most challenging hike of your life, but it is definitely worth the experience. The views are picturesque, beginning at Brienz's and ending at Kulm Station. This trail is best for well-trained and physically fit hikers due to the dangerous drop-offs—the hike sums up to 3000 meters or more.

Engelberg Valley

This valley offers many trails ranging from easy hikes to week-long hikes. Some of the most popular tracks are Brunni Trail, Brunni tickle path, Rigghubelhutte mountain hike, and Walenpfad hike. The trails also feature a couple of lakes for your viewing pleasure.

Matterhorn

The Matterhorn trail is moderately challenging. The path lies on a mountain between Italy and Switzerland. The hike does however take quite a bit of time to tackle though. Most hikers report spending anywhere between 8-12 hours on the trail. Depending on how many stops are taken along the way, this trek could potentially take an entire day to complete. Don’t let that discourage you though- once you reach the Schwarzee Paradise at Zermatt, the hike gets easier.

Lauterbrunnental Glacial Valley

If you love waterfalls, this is the trail for you! It has a total of 12 waterfalls throughout the valley. These hikes are quick and easy ones- great for children. Contrary to it’s name, the valley is mostly covered by lush green meadows that give a perfect view of the waterfalls.
